A broken vault burns for good. True vaults never
break: there are three of them in the whole run.
Every vault carries a wallet of its own. A vault
that burns locks that wallet forever — whatever is inside
stays there. Never keep value in a vault wallet before opening.

Floor read — a watcher checks the
collection floor on OpenSea every ten seconds. Reading costs
nothing, so it happens often.
Checkpoint — the floor is written into the
engine at least once a day, and immediately whenever it
moves by half. Writing is an on-chain transaction, so it happens
only when it changes something.
Between checkpoints the contract charges the last
written floor. That number, not the one on OpenSea, is what your
wallet is asked to pay — and you can read it straight from the
engine.
